Cessna introduces Turbo Stationair HD, a proven platform with enhanced payload

OSHKOSH, Wis. (July 25, 2016) – Cessna Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, today debuted at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture the Cessna Turbo Stationair HD, the company’s enhanced version of its Cessna Turbo Stationair T206H single-engine piston aircraft. The Cessna Turbo Stationair HD is now available to customers and features a gross weight increase of 189 pounds, giving the aircraft a maximum useful load of 1,470 pounds in its standard configuration with six seats, or an impressive 1,623 pounds in a rugged utility configuration.

“Textron Aviation is committed to building and delivering aircraft that meet our customers’ needs and the Turbo Stationair HD is the latest example of our continued investment in the piston product line,” said Doug May, vice president, Piston Aircraft. “Already considered the heavy-hauler in its class, operators using the aircraft for hauling families, freight, special mission equipment or simply more fuel can now all benefit from increased payload and range.”

The Cessna Turbo Stationair HD on static display this week features the Garmin G1000 avionics suite with integrated Synthetic Vision Technology and dual 10.4 inch LCD screens, ADS-B Out capability, a turbocharged 310 horsepower Lycoming TIO-540-AJ1A engine and a McCauley three-blade constant speed heated propeller. The aircraft on display will also feature a flat floor, stowable seats and a cargo pod.
