SPX Cooling Technologies Announces New Cube™ Evaporative Condenser Models
Safe design, installation and operation with ammonia and other refrigerants
Overland Park, KS – July 8, 2016 – SPX Cooling Technologies, Inc., a full-line, full-service industry leader in the design and manufacture of specialized heat exchangers, announces additions to the Cube™ Evaporative Condenser product line. An ideal option for industrial refrigeration applications that require safe design, installation and operation with ammonia and other refrigerants, Cube Evaporative Condensers are available in both forced draft/blow through (BTC) and induced draft/draw through (DTC) models. New DTC models are now available in 8.5-feet nominal widths.
Produced as part of a unique collaboration between SPX Cooling Technologies, Inc. and SGS Refrigeration, Inc., a manufacturer of industrial evaporators based in Dixon, IL, Cube Evaporative Condensers are fabricated and assembled at U.S. manufacturing plants. Strong galvanized steel houses high quality mechanical and heat transfer systems. Stainless steel component options allow customization to address the most demanding environmental and service life requirements.
Cube Evaporative Condensers were specifically designed to simplify field installation, with easy alignment of top and bottom modules, minimal fasteners, and pre-assembled platform and guardrail options. Increased accessibility to both external and internal components helps speed routine inspection and maintenance.
Customers can choose from a broad range of models to meet the specific requirements of evaporative condensing applications. DTC models are available in three nominal widths, 8.5-feet (new), 10-feet, and 12-feet, and come in four nominal lengths, ranging from 12 to 36 feet. They also feature the Marley Geareducer® drive with 5-year warranty for low maintenance and reliable performance.
BTC models are offered in 10-foot and 12-foot nominal widths and four nominal lengths from 12 to 36 feet. The mechanical components and refrigeration coils are housed in heavy-duty galvanized steel to help provide corrosion protection, lower maintenance and longer service life. BTC models feature large rectangular access doors that provide easy interior access.
